Milwaukee is sending Tony Snell and the No. 30 pick in Thursday’s draft to the Pistons in exchange for Jon Leuer, according to a report from ESPN, which cites unidentified league sources. The deal saves the Bucks about $4 million this year and cleared Snell’s $12 million contract in 2020-21, the report says. Milwaukee can now create up to $14 million in cap space this summer, according to a separate report from ESPN....

But Boston might not be done just yet. According to Chris Mannix of The Vertical, the Celtics could be a potential trade suitor for Grizzlies center Marc Gasol. Boston has a treasure chest full of assets (Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, multiple first-round picks) that may interest Memphis. However, the Grizzlies would be embracing a full rebuild in that scenario, and they likely would demand a huge package in exchange for Gasol’s services....

According to The New York Times, one reason Los Angeles landed the big man was because the Celtics refused to make Jayson Tatum available in Boston’s offer. Tatum said in January when there was speculation he could be traded for Davis: “Yeah, I’d trade me too for Anthony Davis.” The Celtics and Lakers were believed to be the front-runners in acquiring Davis. But the Boston Globe reported Friday that the Celtics were hesitant to extend an offer with their best assets because of uncertainty surrounding Davis’s long-term future in Boston....

The Knicks finally traded Carmelo Anthony, sending the 10-time All-Star to the Thunder in a blockbuster deal Saturday, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. New York will receive Enes Kanter, Doug McDermott and a 2018 second-round pick (via Chicago). It’s probably not the package the Knicks envisioned, but it takes Anthony out of the equation following a tumultuous offseason. While teams have had the ability to execute trades all season, Dec. 15 marks the unofficial beginning of trade season. Why? Because on Dec. 15, over 70 players that signed contracts in the 2022 offseason became eligible to be traded. Of course, different contract stipulations bring about different trade restrictions and there are a number of players that are still ineligible to be moved, but the large new group of eligible players means that teams will have more negotiating flexibility and power on the trade market....

The Nets are trading Jordan, four second-round picks (2022, 2024, 2025, 2027) and nearly $6 million to the Pistons in exchange for Jahlil Okafor and Sekou Doumbouya, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Even those two teams have reservations though. “The Rockets I’m told are still not comfortable and have been resisting going that deep into the luxury tax to acquire a guy like Iguodala in a potential sign-and-trade where they give up a draft pick to the Memphis Grizzlies,” Stadium’s Shams Charania said Monday....

The robbery occurred just one day after KeShon Henderson was offered a full-ride scholarship to play basketball at Judson University in Elgin, Illinois, WCVB reported. Suspects robbed Henderson and shot him several times near 42nd and Sprague Street in Omaha, Nebraska on September 24. First responders subsequently rushed the 17-year-old to hospital for surgery. “I got a call that my son’s car was taped off, at about 9:30 p.m.,” the teen’s mother, Tina Henderson, told WCVB....
