Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal said Friday that Stephen Milligan, 54, was charged Thursday with conspiring with another individual to pilfer respirators from a Prudential Financial office located in the northeastern part of the state. That individual, Kevin Brady, 49, was arrested in mid-April for what prosecutors believe was his role in the alleged scheme. Both Milligan and Brady were on-site electrical workers at the Prudential office, which afforded them access to a caged storage area in the basement where the company had been storing personal protective equipment (PPE) it hoped to donate to a local hospital....

University of Chile paleontologist Alex Vargas said the tail was something he had never seen on an animal. He described it in a study in the journal Nature and said it consists of seven pairs of “blades” that jetted out sideways. In August, New York City announced a forthcoming vaccine mandate for all public school staff. By this coming Monday, September 27, all staffers will be required to submit proof of having received a first COVID-19 vaccine dose. In a memo sent to school employees on Thursday, the city’s Department of Education said those who haven’t received the vaccine by the deadline will lose their pay. “Any regular employees who fail to meet this deadline will be removed from payroll beginning Tuesday, September 28, unless they are on an approved vaccine exemption or leave,” the memo read, according to the New York Post....
