Between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. CDT, the pressure test will occur at the Energy Systems Test Activity area of the Johnson Space Center. According to a NASA news release, the loud boom is expected to happen in the final hour of the test, somewhere between 11 a.m. and noon and will last a brief amount of time. “The noise may be alarming for folks but, rest assured, it is a normal outcome of the test we are doing,” said Matthew Green, senior software engineer and test director....

Kyle Larson won the first two stages, which were marked after laps 100 and 200. But by the end of the 367th and final lap, Keselowski claimed victory after being buoyed by an impeccable pit crew that gave him the lead for good on lap 346. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver took the checkered flag ahead of the field by 1.698 seconds to snap a 29-race winless streak and earn his first Cup Series win at Phoenix Raceway. “Phoenix has been a tough one for us, and to come here and win this — I wish it was November, but hopefully we can come back here in November and have a shot at being in the final four,” Truex told Fox’s Jamie Little after the race....

Cup Series drivers raced on the surface Saturday night to determine the starting order for Sunday night’s Food City Dirt Race. Four 15-lap qualifying heats were run, with nine drivers per heat. The lineups for the heat races were set by random draw, with selections made in order of team owner points. Drivers received points for where they finished in the heat races (10 for first place, two for last place) and how many spots they improved their starting position by passing (one point for each spot gained between start and finish)....

After missing the first three races of the season, it didn’t take long for the controversial Las Vegas native to have his eagerness translate to the scoreboard with a fifth-place finish at Phoenix last week. But Phoenix is a completely different animal to this week’s wide 2-mile layout of Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif. While Busch looked to have a car very equal to eventual winner Kevin Harvick last week, the real challenge to see how close Busch is to Harvick comes in Sunday’s Auto Club 400....

In a statement posted on its website, the National Guard said its marketing budget has been cut. It spent $32 million on its sponsorship of Earnhardt and $12 million on its IndyCar program of Graham Rahal. Those figures include the amount spent on promotions and other programs around the sponsorship. The National Guard statement said it would end both partnerships. The Guard was a primary sponsor of Earnhardt for 20 races....
