The All-Star Race features winning drivers from this season and the previous season, along with all past All-Star winners and previous Cup Series champions. Drivers can also be eligible to race if they win one of three stages at the Monster Energy Open held in the hours before the All-Star Race, or if they win the fan vote.
As for the All-Star format, the race is only 80 laps long with four stages separated at Laps 30, 50 and 70 leading to a 10-lap shootout to decide the $1 million prize winner.
