MORE: Petty: I can’t compare myself with Earnhardt, Johnson

Edwards tried to block fellow Championship 4 driver Joey Logano on the inside row after Logano got up to speed faster than the No. 19 car. Edwards pushed Logano all the way into the inside wall, but found himself caught up with more damage by creating a huge chain-reaction wreck that brought out the red flag.

After the wreck, Edwards apologized to Logano’s pit box on the way to the infield care center.

Logano sustained some damage in the wreck, but stayed in the race. It’s down to the wire between Logano and Championship 4 racers Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch for the title.
