Who won the pole for the NASCAR race at Road America?
Chase Elliott will be in a much more advantageous position at Road America this year than he was last season.
After starting 34th last year, Elliott will be starting from the pole after posting a qualifying time of 2 minutes, 14.427 seconds, edging out Chase Briscoe by 38 one-thousandths of a second. Elliott, who won at Road America last year despite not posting a lap in qualifying, drove confidently Saturday.
“It was a little more fun that I thought it was going to be, for sure,” Elliott said, per NBC Sports. “Hopefully, the results are the same (Sunday) as they were last year. That’s what’s important.”
