Who won the pole for the NASCAR race at Sonoma?

Kyle Larson, the 2021 Save Mart 350 winner and a native of Elk Grove, Calif., came away with the pole position for the 2022 edition of the race.

This is the fifth time Larson has earned the pole position at Sonoma.

“It was good. I was a bit surprised I ran that 70-something that I ran because I felt like I gave up a lot of time in Turn 4 and 7. Had I had those two corners back, I feel like I could’ve went quite a bit faster,” Larson told FS2’s Jamie Little.

The starting order for the Save Mart 350 was set by the results from Saturday’s qualifying. The 36 cars that made qualifying runs will line up for the race Sunday.
