The new Georgia coach just secured the commitment of Isaac Nauta, the No. 1 tight end in the country, according to 247Sports.

Nauta’s commitment shouldn’t come as too big a surprise: Once the five-star tight end decommitted from Florida State, Georgia was presumed the favorite over competing schools in Michigan and Alabama. The Buford, Ga., native lives only an hour from the Georgia campus.

Regardless, Nauta represents the latest huge recruit for Smart, who also got a commitment from four-star class of 2017 linebacker Breon Dixon.

Georgia’s 2016 class ranks No. 5 nationally.
