Ahead of this year’s All-Star festivities, which will take place Sunday night at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, the NBA will hold its fourth All-Star Draft with LeBron James and Kevin Durant serving as captains. Durant will not be available for the All-Star Game because he is recovering from a hamstring injury, but he will still be in charge of selecting his team.

What time is the 2021 NBA All-Star Draft?

Date: Thursday, March 4 Time: 8 p. m. ET

The NBA All-Star Draft will take place at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 4. The NBA All-Star Game will tip off at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 7.

The 2021 NBA All-Star Draft picks will be revealed live on TNT. The “NBA All-Star Draft Show” will precede the usual “NBA on TNT” shenanigans. You can also stream the broadcast via the Watch TNT app.

How does the NBA All-Star Draft work?

Each team will each have 12 players. James and Durant can draft their rosters regardless of conference affiliation. 

Team LeBron has the No. 1 overall pick for the starter pool (first round), and Team Durant selects first for the reserve pool (second round). Team LeBron and Team Durant will alternate picks each round.
