The move was expected. In fact, there was talk back in January of Boozer being amnestied when the Bulls traded Luol Deng to the Cavaliers for Andrew Bynum’s non-guaranteed contract.
Chicago is moving ahead at power forward with free-agent signee Pau Gasol. The team also will be getting European standout Nikola Mirotic, who announced he will be joining the Bulls for next season.
