After Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports initially reported on the trade discussions between San Antonio and Toronto, DeRozan appeared to take a shot at the Raptors on social media. DeRozan was told he would not be traded during a meeting with members of Toronto’s front office at summer league in Las Vegas, according to ESPN’s Chris Haynes, so his latest Instagram story makes a lot of sense beyond the obvious frustration with being sent away after nearly a decade with the franchise.

MORE: Why Leonard trade would be disaster for Spurs and Raptors

“Told one thing and the outcome another,” DeRozan said. “Can’t trust ’em. Ain’t no loyalty in this game. Sell you out quick for a little bit of nothing… Soon you’ll understand… Don’t disturb…”

Leonard wants to head to Los Angeles and play for the Lakers, so of course he is disappointed in this result. The Raptors could still try to persuade Leonard to sign a long-term deal after the 2018-19 season, but based on Charania’s reporting, they are fighting an uphill battle.

So, we’ve got unanimous disgust from the primary players involved here. That doesn’t happen very often, now does it?

Unfortunately for Leonard and DeRozan, the Spurs and Raptors don’t care much about their feelings.
