While most of the sports world was settling in for Week 4 of college football action, the Knicks and Thunder were putting the finishing touches on a deal that will send the 10-time All-Star to Sooner country in exchange for big man Enes Kanter, small forward Doug McDermott and a second-round pick.

The deal, made a day after Anthony added OKC and the Cavs to the list of teams he’d waive his no-trade clause for, gives the Thunder the NBA’s latest superstar trio including reigning league MVP Russell Westbrook and three-time All-NBA choice Paul George.

Needless to say, the trade shook up #NBATwitter, and players and media members alike took to social media in response. 

Kanter, like a true professional, kicked it off with a classy farewell. 

And, of course, PG had to express his exuberance about the acquisition of his new running mate.
