The tournament leads up to the men’s national championship game on Monday, May 30, in Hartford, Conn.
The marquee matchup in the second round features No. 1 Maryland (15-0) against Virginia (12-3) in a rematch of last year’s national championship game. The Cavaliers beat the Terps 17-16 in a thriller. That is the final game of the weekend at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
Delaware upset No. 2 Georgetown in the first round. The Blue Hens (13-5) face No. 7 Cornell (12-4), one of four Ivy League schools left in the tournament. That’s also a Sunday matchup.
The Saturday schedule opens with No. 3 Penn (11-4) at No. 6 Rutgers (13-3). The winner faces the Delaware-Cornell winner in the Final Four.
There also is a rivalry matchup between No. 4 Yale (12-4) at No. 5 Princeton (10-4). The winner advances to face the Maryland-Virginia winner in the Final Four.
