Kentucky, at 6-to-5 odds, saw its price drop from last week’s 7-to-5 as the Wildcats continue to suffocate opponents with their size and depth. Arizona (7-to-1) and Duke (7-to-1), both undefeated on the young season, saw their numbers shrink slightly, while Wisconsin (8-to-1) held steady despite a loss at the hands of the aforementioned Blue Devils.

Those teams appear to be in mid-season form, but it obviously takes some teams a little bit longer to hit their stride. That’s to the benefit of futures bettors, as there are a number of promising clubs with relatively lengthy odds. North Carolina (30-to-1) already has a pair of losses on their ledger, but was considered a title contender prior to the season, and it’s not as if the Tar Heels suddenly lost the depth, talent or experience that had people excited about them a few weeks ago. Florida and Kansas, also 30-to-1, are in a similar boat.

If you’re still confident in some of the teams that have had a bit of a rocky start to the season, it makes sense to place a wager before they find their groove.
