The film, which premiered on Wednesday, follows a young boy named Craig who is bullied at school and soon becomes friends with a reclusive billionaire, the titular Mr. Harrigan.
When Mr. Harrigan dies, Craig soon learns that perhaps it doesn’t mean that he’s gone for good as Craig starts to communicate with Mr. Harrigan from beyond the grave—and the teen’s late friend is out for revenge on those who’ve wronged Craig.

Netflix’s ‘Mr. Harrigan’s Phone’ Cast and Where You’ve Seen Them Before
Mr. Harrigan’s Phone features several big-name stars and up-and-coming actors whose recent work may be familiar to fans.
The titular Mr. Harrigan is portrayed by Donald Sutherland, the renowned actor known for such films as MAS*H, The Dirty Dozen and Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
More recently, Sutherland appeared in The Hunger Games franchise in which he played President Coriolanus Snow. He also starred in HBO’s The Undoing, which earned him a Critic’s Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Movie/Miniseries.
Craig, meanwhile, is played by Jaeden Martell, a young rising star who is not unfamiliar with King’s iconic work as he appeared in It: Chapter One and It: Chapter Two. Martell’s other credits include Knives Out and took on a lead role in Apple TV+’s Defending Jacob.
Kirby Howell-Baptiste stars in the film as Craig’s teacher Ms. Hart. She may be familiar to Netflix subscribers for her turn as Death in The Sandman, an adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s iconic comic book series.
Joe Tippett, who portrays Craig’s father in the movie, recently starred in Apple TV+’s The Morning Show as Hal Jackson. He also played John Ross in Mare of Easttown opposite Kate Winslet.
Cyrus Arnold takes on the role of Kenny Yankovich in Mr. Harrigan’s Phone. He has previously appeared in such projects as The Exorcist TV show and HBO Max film 8-Bit Christmas.
Iván Amaro Bullón, who has previously appeared in FBI, Law & Order: Organized Crime and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, also stars in the new Netflix film as the sheriff deputy.
