Gamblero – whose real name was Jeffrey Vanchiro – was the fan carried out of Madison Square Garden earlier in December. As a result, Gamblero suffered intense trauma.

A few days after the incident Gamblero told ESPN New York, “I’m not my normal self, but I’m working towards getting back to that. I have a lot of recovery to do: physically, mentally, emotionally.”

Evans told ESPN New York nearly two weeks later that Gamblero’s attitude had seriously changed, “After that, he was a completely different person. He was paranoid. He was erratic. He was frightened. He was horrified. He was a bit delusional.”

That culminated in reports on Sunday that Gamblero was in the ICU after jumping out of a second-story window at his father’s home in New York.
