New Bears Lb Danny Trevathan Wishes Packers Would Have Made An Offer

When asked whether the rival Packers reached out to him before he reached a deal with the Bears, Trevathan came up with a surprising answer.

“No, they didn’t. I wish they would have but they didn’t,” Trevathan said Thursday on NFL Network.

Ouch. That might not sit well with Bears fans.

Trevathan, 26, signed a four-year deal worth $24.5 million ($12 million guaranteed) on Wednesday. He was a key cog in the middle of the Broncos’ league-leading defense last season, logging 74 tackles and a pair of interceptions.
