She’ll be joining the crew as an analyst. According to Fox, she’s believed to be the first woman to announce a NASCAR race from the broadcast booth.
She’s not the only driver to hop in the booth. Her Stewart-Haas Racing teammate Kevin Harvick, Jeff Gordon and Brad Keselowski will make appearances throughout the racing season. They’ll join play-by-play announcer Adam Alexander and analyst Michael Waltrip.
The Xfinity series is NASCAR’s second-biggest stockcar racing operation and a feeder system for its Sprint Cup headliner. Patrick drives in Cup races and has experience in the secondary series when it was known as Nationwide.
