It’s easy to assume that these players, who often seem larger-than-life and invincible, don’t read their Twitter feeds or care what some random nobody says. Except these are college kids we’re talking about here — not professional athletes and certainly not robots — and sometimes, those words cut really deep.

In spite (or perhaps because of) the vitriol, Greenwood had a career game on Wednesday night, scoring 22 points (including six threes) and also dunked for the first time since his freshman season.
After the game, he called out the hate-Tweeter during a postgame interview on CBS Sports saying that there was “a line that was crossed” that gave him “some extra motivation.”
