The next Sword and Shield trailer with new information on the Gen 8 games will drop at 9 a.m. EDT and if you are planning to watch it, The Pokémon Company’s various social media accounts will provide the trailer when it releases.

It’s been almost a month since the last official Pokémon Sword and Shield information was released. On July 8, a new trailer introducing a handful of Pokémon as well as the Gigantamax phenomenon was announced. Gigantamax is a step above Dynamaxing, but instead of just having the Pokémon grow in size their appearance will change. The Gigantamax Pokémon will also receive a new G-Max move.

The new Pokémon revealed in this trailer included the Rock-type Rolycoly, the Fairy-type Alcremie, and the Steel and Dragon-type Duruladon. Yamper, the Electric-type Corgi Pokémon that was shown in the E3 2019 demo, was also given a proper reveal in this trailer.

It’s unclear what information will be shown on Wednesday, but a past leak was proven correct and could be a reference as to what fans can expect. This leak confirmed Dynamax and Gigantamax as well as the name of various trainers in Sword and Shield before they were confirmed by The Pokémon Company so the rest - or at least part of - the post could be what is shown on Wednesday.

Some tidbits from the leak that have yet to be confirmed include:

After the August 7 trailer, Pokémon fans won’t have to wait long for more information on Sword and Shield. The Pokémon World Championships take place the weekend of August 16 and a new Sword and Shield trailer is likely to drop during the event.

Pokémon Sword and Shield will release November 15 on Nintendo Switch.
