Texas A&M continues to look impressive, and they moved to No. 5 after its 48-3 win over South Carolina. A&M’s only loss this season was at Alabama. Florida, whose only loss was at Texas A&M, moves up to No. 6.
Cincinnati is No. 7 and BYU is No. 8.
Indiana, which beat Michigan for the first time in 33 years, moves into the top 10 at No. 9, and Oregon enters the rankings at No. 10 after the Pac-12 kicked off its season. The Ducks beat Stanford, 35-14.
Liberty enters the Newsweek rankings at No. 20 after a thrilling, 38-35, upset at Virginia Tech on Saturday. The Liberty Flames, which are playing as an independent this season, are 7-0, and they host Western Carolina this weekend.
Newsweek Top 20 All conferences have finally kicked off, and all Football Bowl Series (FBS) teams are considered for the top 20.
Where is College ‘GameDay’ this week? ESPN’s popular ‘GameDay’ road show will make an unprecedented trip to Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia this Saturday. There is no football game there this weekend, but the 2020 Masters tournament will be played at the famous golf course.The tournament, one of golf’s four majors, begins on Thursday and concludes Sunday. The tournament is usually played in April, but was rescheduled in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
