Three teams in the top five—No. 1 Alabama, No. 3 Ohio State and No. 5 Texas A&M—had their games postponed for the coronavirus. No. 2 Notre Dame went on the road and beat Boston College, and No. 4 Clemson had a bye week. All five remain in their spots this week.
The No. 6 Florida Gators crushed Arkansas, 63-35, behind quarterback Kyle Trask’s phenomenal performance. He passed for 356 yards and six touchdowns in the win. Trask now leads Newsweek’s 2020 Heisman Trophy predictions.
No. 7 Cincinnati cruised to a win and No. 8 BYU was off last week.
No. 9 Indiana is 4-0 for the first time since 1987 after Saturday’s 24-0 win at Michigan State. This sets up a huge top-10 matchup for the Hoosiers this Saturday at No. 3 Ohio State.
No. 12 Wisconsin got back on the field Saturday after two weeks off from COVID-19, and the Badgers throttled Michigan, 49-11.
No. 18 Marshall honored the 1970 team by wearing all black uniforms on the 50th anniversary of the tragic plane crash that took the lives of 75 players, coaches and fans. The Thundering Herd wore the No. 75 on their helmets, and they beat Middle Tennessee State, 42-14.
