In an historic move, three NBA playoff games were postponed Wednesday because of team boycotts to protest the latest shooting, which happened Sunday afternoon in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The boycott is more meaningful action to protest social injustice than what the league has already approved, like: painting “Black Lives Matter” on the courts, allowing players to kneel in protest during the national anthem, letting players replace their names on the back of their jerseys with social justice slogans and also the players wearing “Black Lives Matter” t-shirts during warmups....

Boston rallied from a 21-point third-quarter deficit to beat Cleveland 111-108 on Sunday night in Cleveland. Avery Bradley’s 3-pointer with a tenth of a second to play was the difference. The Celtics were without point guard Isaiah Thomas, which made everyone assume the game (and the series) was over. Thomas is out for the remainder of the postseason with a hip injury that will be examined Monday . Marcus Smart took Thomas’ place in the starting lineup and had a huge game (27 points, seven assists)....

Thunder Center Steven Adams found that out the hard way Sunday after delivering a monster pick against the Rockets point guard. But, just as they had this entire season, the Toronto Raptors made things interesting by outplaying the odds against them. Second-year player Terrence Ross, who struggled shooting the entire series, used his youthful athleticism to snag a ball intended for Paul Pierce, recover possession before falling out of bounds and throw it off Pierce to boot. Even with that level of difficulty, there was little surprise when Beal knocked down the shot. He possesses one of the sweetest shooting strokes in the NBA. But the Wizards were unable to defeat the Celtics in the second round, losing in seven games — and Cavs shooting guard J.R. Smith is here to remind everyone who forgot how that series ended. The league’s reigning MVP sustained the injury during the Rockets’ 115-109 loss at Oracle Arena as the two-time defending champion Warriors took a 2-0 lead in the NBA Western Conference semifinals. Milwaukee had to come from behind to win just days ago to open the Eastern Conference finals at the Fiserv Forum. But this time around, there was no coming back — or even looking back — as the Bucks won 125-103. “I think mentally we were ready for this game,” Giannis Antetokounmpo said. The team entered Game 1 after a week of rest and felt a little rusty, which certainly wasn’t the case Friday....

Butler led the way with 30 points and 11 rebounds in Toronto, where the 76ers upstaged the Raptors 94-89 to even the second-round NBA playoff series Monday. The four-time All-Star managed just 10 points in Game 1 but he bounced back with a double-double, which included 12 points in the final quarter. Toronto showed some fight at certain points in this game, but honestly, it was over less than four minutes in. Milwaukee started the game on a 9-0 run prompting a timeout from Raptors coach Nick Nurse with just 3:13 off the clock, but the damage was already done. The Bucks had the momentum and carried it to a 35-21 first quarter lead and eventual 64-39 advantage at the half....

The Raptors defeated the Bucks, 105-99, in Milwaukee Thursday night to take a 3-2 lead in the series. After winning the first two games, Milwaukee is searching for answers after dropping three straight. After Thursday night’s loss, a reporter mentioned to Antetokounmpo it seemed the Celtics folded in the fifth and final game of their East semifinal series against Milwaukee, but the Bucks star quickly cut off any comparison....

The 30-year-old forward has been dealing with soreness in his left knee and will not be on the floor in his team’s matchup against the Bucks on Sunday, coach Dwane Casey told reporters pregame. Casey told reporters that Griffin was too sore to play and is considered “day-to-day.” Griffin was held out of Detroit’s win over the Knicks on Wednesday, which clinched their spot in the postseason. Griffin had a career season, averaging 24....

Chris Paul earned two technicals and an ejection for arguing with officials during the game, and Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni picked up a technical for arguing a no-call in the third quarter. D’Antoni was not happy, in particular, with officials not calling fouls on Warriors players defending 3-point attempts, as shown here on the aforementioned play in the third quarter. After the game, D’Antoni says officials admitted to him they missed four such calls in the first half alone....

Kidd was assessed a technical foul for aggressively pursuing and confronting referee Zach Zarba, and received an ejection for slapping the ball out of his hands with 1:49 to play in the Bucks’ 129-118 loss Wednesday to the Kings in Milwaukee.
