Knicks forward Kristaps Porzingis has become a “primary target” for the Cavs, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. As Cleveland continues its search for a trade partner — Wojnarowski calls an Irving trade “inevitable” — the franchise is moving forward under the assumption LeBron James won’t return following the 2017-18 season, thus the need for a young, emerging star like Porzingis. The agency also revealed on Tuesday that it had seen its first confirmed case of COVID-19 among detainees, a 31-year-old Mexican national being held in custody at the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, New Jersey, who tested positive for the virus. ICE said in a statement that the individual had been quarantined and was receiving medical care. The agency said that those who had come into contact with the 31-year-old had also been “cohorted” and would be monitored for symptoms....

A survey released this week by the public health non-profit Kaiser Family Foundation found that 48 percent of 186 unvaccinated U.S. adults, making up a “nationally representative” sample, said nothing would persuade them. A much smaller share of 12 percent said more research and transparency could change their mind. Even fewer said they would get vaccinated if it were required for work or legally mandated (6 percent), if they received a large financial incentive for vaccination (5 percent), if their doctor recommended it (3 percent), or if the vaccine prevented every COVID infection (3 percent)....
