It is one of the biggest graves in the world, but because it is considered a sacred site, little is known about what it actually contains. The NASA image shows the keyhole-shaped tomb among other burial sites which, collectively, are known as the Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group. This is a designated World Heritage Site, with 40 kofun—which translated means old tomb—found across two main clusters....

In March this year, at the end of the long, cold Arctic winter, it covered 5.71 million square miles. Over summer, the sea ice melts, normally falling to its lowest levels at some point in September. The space agency introduced the new suits to the public during a presentation attended by administrator Jim Bridenstine on Tuesday at their Washington D.C. headquarters. The two suits—known as the Exploration Extravehicular Mobility Unit (xEMU) and the Orion Crew Survival System—serve different purposes. The white xEMU suit has been designed for use by astronauts on future lunar exploration missions in NASA’s Artemis program. Artemis intends to land the “first woman and next man” on the moon by 2024 with a long-term goal of establishing a sustainable presence on the satellite....

The wait was worth it for Martin Truex Jr., who rallied past Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Denny Hamlin to the checkered flag on Sunday in the rain-delayed Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500. Truex overtook Hamlin on Lap 485 of the 500-lap race during a nose-to-tail, then side-by-side, duel late in Stage 3. And then his world turned upside down. Literally. Kyle Busch got sideways and he turned directly into Gaughan, whose No. 62 Beard Oil Motorsports Chevrolet then spun in front of the entire field. Then, like a crazy stunt in a movie, Gaughan’s car went airborne, did exactly one revolution, slammed back down on the track and kept rolling. The 44-year-old Gaughan was not injured in the incident.
