The video footage was release after media organizations went to court to request access to the footage. The footage is being used to prosecute three men charged with assaulting police. Monmouth University released new polling data on Wednesday from a survey conducted from April 30 to May 4. In a head-to-head general election matchup, Biden now leads Trump by 9 points, with 50 percent support compared with the president’s 41 percent. That’s an increase over Monmouth’s previous polling in April, when Biden was backed by just 48 percent of respondents and Trump was supported by 44 percent. However, Biden’s lead over Trump narrowed when Amash, an independent former Republican from Michigan, was thrown into the mix....

Now some veterans charge Hackworth did much the same thing. Last week, CBS and CNN reported that Hackworth’s resume listed two unearned decorations, an oak-leaf cluster to the Distinguished Flying Cross and an Army Ranger tab. Hackworth, acknowledg ing that the army may have made administrative errors when it reissued him all of his medals in the late 1980s, removed both from his resume. He said that after a critical piece last year in the online magazine Slate, he decided to list only awards given for valor in combat - a total of more than 70, including eight Purple Hearts....

The NCAA released a look at the statistics one month into the season, which shows scoring is up 5.43 points from the same point last season from 68.38 to 73.81, with free throws and field goals accounting for approximately 50 percent each of that total. That shared increase of field goals and free throws is important to show that the extra scoring is not coming strictly from just additional trips to the free throw line stemming from more fouls being called by the officials....

A new study tested nearly 2,500 kids under the age of 18 for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and found headaches and anosmia (loss of smell) and ageusia (loss of taste) were most commonly associated with positive infection results. About two-thirds of children who came back with positive test results were reporting symptoms at the time of swab testing. This is much higher than a previous Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) study which found symptoms in only 26 percent of cases....
