NASCAR announced three updates Monday to the rules package that are aimed at reducing both downforce and side force. The changes will be in place for the Sprint Showdown and the Sprint All-Star Race and could be part of a new package for the 2017 season. Kyle Larson was the winner of last year’s all-star race in Texas, and he’ll be back to try and defend his title. The format this year, however, will be a bit different from in years past.
